Vikas Johri, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from University of Delhi, India and a doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, FL. He has earned a Board Certification in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, awarded by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He has also completed two years of postgraduate fellowship training in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT), credentialed by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and the American Physical Therapy Association. Less than 1% of physical therapists nationwide have been able to earn this distinction.
His clinical specializations include neck/back pain, spinal manipulative therapy, cervicogenic headaches, spinal stabilization, post orthopaedic surgery rehab, and temperomandibular joint physical therapy. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. He also serves as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students from Central Michigan University and the University of Michigan.
He spends spare time with his wife and two children. He is an avid runner who enjoys endurance running and has been a finisher in six full marathons and more than 50 half marathons.
